The Government has announced that Home Information Packs (HIPs) will be compulsory for all homes being placed on the market for sale from 14 December. This is the final phase of the introduction of HIPs which began on 1 August. New build properties coming to the market will require a HIP from April 2008.

MacLachlan have taken a lead on HIPs and have been producing HIPs at a fixed cost of £299 including VAT which is below the average HIP cost referred to in Government statements.
