The Government has announced that Home Information Packs (HIPs) will be compulsory for all homes being placed on the market for sale from 14 December. This is the final phase of the introduction of HIPs which began on 1 August. New build properties coming to the market will require a HIP from April 2008.

Following the delay and controversy surrounding the implementation of the Home Information Pack (HIP) in June, new regulations are now in force meaning that larger properties placed on the market for sale after 1 August will require a HIP.
