On 1 October, the law relating to Powers of Attorney is to change and it will no longer be possible to make an Enduring Power of Attorney.

The Government has announced plans to delay the introduction of Home Information Packs until 1 August 2007 due to insufficient numbers of energy assessors who are required to complete an Energy Performance Certificate on a property before it can be placed on the market for sale.

MacLachlan recently sponsored a match at North Dorset Rugby Club. The local club played host to Wootton Bassett RFC and MacLachlan were pleased to be in attendance as match sponsors. The visitors were victorious but this did not dampen the spirits of a most enjoyable afternoon!

The government has confirmed its commitment to Home Information Packs and the Housing Minister Yvette Cooper has indicated that HIPS will become mandatory on 1 June 2007.
